Microsoft is continuing its transition to modern authentication methods, including Passkeys, as part of its ongoing effort to reduce the risk of phishing and account compromise. As a result, Technotic will be working with customers over the coming months to review and modernise authentication practices across their Microsoft 365 environments.

A Passkey is a modern replacement for a password. Instead of remembering and typing a password, you sign in using something you already use to unlock your device, such as your fingerprint, face recognition, or a PIN.
Passkeys are easier to use, more secure than traditional passwords, and help protect your account from hackers who try to steal passwords through fake websites or emails.
In most cases, signing in with a Passkey is as simple as unlocking your phone or computer.

Over the next 12 months, your organisation will need to move away from traditional passwords and code-based sign-ins toward more secure methods such as Passkeys.

Password Manager Review
As part of this programme, Technotic has reviewed its credential management platforms to ensure they support modern authentication standards, including passkeys, secure sharing, and simplified user onboarding. We expect to transition all managed environments to Keeper Enterprise at the same time as upgrading them to Passkeys.
